Brian and Jennifer met while attending at Newtown Schools. Life-long residents of Connecticut, they both enjoy spending time with their families, traveling when they can- Cape Cod and Sanibel Island are their favorite spots, and playing with their two pups Barney and Mabel.

In 2002 their mutual love of cooking led them to have a small catering business called The Spice of Life. Brian's hard work ethic paired with Jen's creativity for event planning and passion for food allowed for them  to hone their skills.  They have done many events including intimate holiday parties, bridal and baby showers and weddings.

In 2011, they purchased their first home on Evergreen Road. After many years of dating (13) they decided to surprise their friends and family by having them over for their Surprise Wedding. This was the ultimate culmination of their love of planning, hosting and catering. And it all happened at Evergreen.

Owning a Bed and Breakfast was always a dream of theirs. With the purchase of the  John Moseley house in 2017, they were able to fulfill that dream. The name for the B&B came to them immediately. The Evergreen Inn represents eternal brightness.

In 2019, they extended their hospitality venture with the purchase of the then names Curtis House Inn, known as Connecticut's Oldest Inn. Adapting their personal namesake and re-branding their Woodbury location the Evergreen Inn.

Brian and Jen hope you join them in experiencing the amazing history of their property, the abundant area attractions and taking some time to just relax and enjoy!
